Garifunas gave the world the infectious, fast-paced dance and music of punta. But they also have stories to share on the big screen. That’s exactly what the Garifuna International Indigenous Film Festival has been doing since 2012.
This year, the fest’s fifth annual edition features 41 films, 18 of them world premieres, from May 26 through 31 in Los Angeles.
