For your donation of $75 you will receive a copy of The Insurrectional Resistance of the Garifuna Revolution. Written by anthropologist Andoni Castillo Perez, this book is the result of bibliographic research in England, France, and Saint Vincent. The book brings us other views to understand our roots; new discussions and paradigm shifts about the history of the garinagu people. It also includes consultation of archives from the 16th and 17th centuries of the English and French, both had a close relationship with the garinagu people on the island of San Vicente during their revolution and fought individual battles, many of which were recorded by the chroniclers of that time and described in this work.
This book guides the reader to cross a communication bridge, a source of knowledge and a path that leads to rethinking, rewriting and relearning; it is an invitation for reflection and criticism of the history that has been written so far. As an authorized distributor, Garifuna International Indigenous Film Festival is proud to offer this to donors of this event of $75.00 as our thanks for your support. We offer a wide range of sponsorship opportunities. Whether you are interested in general sponsorship, adopting a specific film/event, or advertising in our newsletter, we will accommodate you and align your company’s name, image, products and services with GIIFF and very receptive audience.
