This documentary showcases the individuals who made it possible and provides a firsthand account of the experiences that enabled the implementation of this top-notch healthcare project. Director Biography - Jose Miguel Soriano, Ricardo MacianJose M. Soriano is Professor of Nutrition of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Valencia (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Jose-MSoriano). He taught of Nutrition in Emergency Situations from 2001. He is Director of the
University Clinic of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Physiotherapy of the Lluís Alcanyís Foundation, the Gastrolab of the Institute of Material Science and the Food & Health Lab of the VLC/CAMPUS International Campus of Excellence; and Co-Director of the Mixed Research Unit on Endocrinology, Nutrition and Clinical Dietetics of the Universitat de València-Institute of Health Research La Fe. He has carried out teaching-research stays at the Agence Française de Sécurité Sanitaire des Aliments (France), Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Italy), National Research Center (Egypt), Akershus University College (Norway ), National University of La Plata (Argentina), National Maternal-Perinatal Institute (Peru) and the University of El Salvador. He has published ten books and more than 200 book chapters and articles in national and international journals. He has received the "Professor Vicente Callao" Charity-Teaching Association Award from the Ibero-American Academy of Pharmacy (2004), Prize for Teaching Excellence of the Conselleria de Educación-Consell Social of the Universitat de València (2009), the Cascajares Prize for young researchers of the Spanish Society of Microbiology (2010). |

My vision, motivation, and focus for creating this documentary are to tell the story of those unknown heroes who dedicated their time and lives to establish the first breast milk bank in Peru. This initiative has contributed to reducing maternal and infant morbidity and mortality, improving the quality of life for families, and lowering hospital costs.
