Director Statement
"DELA" is a deeply personal journey with many timeless lessons, which I am thankful to share with the world. What remains to be celebrated are the creative elements that came together to make this captivating production, and took viewers on a visual journey showcasing numerous iconic landmarks within the global art landscape. The names on the credit list come from a small but diverse group of mostly underrepresented filmmakers/artists around the world, most of whom that you may not have heard of. During these ten years of association with El Anatsui our lives were changed - and we hope to change yours in 126 minutes.
I look forward to sharing this inspiring life and hope it enriches the audience’s viewing experience.
